Why is it more accepted for men to have sex than women?

Why is it that it's accepted, expected even for men to have sex. Yet most of the time, women are looked at as disgusting if people know they've had sex, although in most cases men need women to have sex with?

They're not. I've never once seen a man put up on a pedastal for having sex. Except with his friends, which would apply to anything. I think the reason it's more frowned about by women is because women are hardly ever assertive, so they always seem like victims. If you don't want to be taken as a victim, take some initiative.

Either way you shouldn't care what others think. The sooner you stop allowing others to make you believe sex is so bad for women, the sooner sex will become more acceptable and not something certain people will feel ashamed of.

  • Evolution

Women outnumber men, so that one man can impregnate more than one woman and the species is constantly being continued. A woman only needs to have sex once to reproduce, whereas a man has an internal drive to spread his seed. At one point when relationships were not important (mainly in prehistory) men spreading their seed would be acceptable, now we just say "men are horny" and that's their excuse. I personally don't see it being that bad anymore.

  • Women have higher standards

Men are capable of having sex with just about anything. they don't care who it's with as long as they get some. women on the other hand, have higher standards. so people get surprised or confused when they hear a woman has sex too much. for women, it's like a competition. they can't beat you so they need to say bad things about you and make you feel bad about yourself for what you've done. so basically they feel as if they actually won. and men, they're just surprised that there are women who are as open about liking sex as much as they do. so i guess those women get called easy, and sluts just because they can be mature and open about how much they like sex.

  • History

I believe it all plays into old historical traditions. Men could have many different wives, but she had to remain loyal to him. Men were also allowed to have harems and were viewed as potent if they slept with many women and bore many children. Since women are becoming more and more socially accepted within the last century, some are still clinging to old beliefs.

It may also have to do with the fact that most women view sex as a sacred act, and look down upon women who get it freely from different men.

  • its the role the gender plays

I think that the reason for the diffrence in expectation between men and women is that women are the receptive ones thereby having the choice in the matter and men want to have sex with just about any woman who would let them so if a guy has sex it means he is desirable to at least one chick while if a chick does she isent being careful with who she chooses and frankly i think its wrong to judge that way i think we alll should have sex more often

  • Stupidity or hypocrisy

Religion (specifically Chrisianity and Cathalicism) favored men, women were frowned upon if they had sex. Thus the hypocrisy part. I am male, and the stupidity comes in with sexism. For some moronic reason men have a dumb fetish to steal the virginity from a female.

  • Society

Since birth society programs us 2 believe certain ways and things...they teach our parents and our parents teach us...or we learn from watching other people's behaviors and instill it into our belief system whether we like it or not b'cus it's what is acceptable by society...at least that's how I see it...personally...I think every1 is responsible 4 their own choices and are equal and my motto is " 2 each their own,I leave it alone"...
