The bad guys never think they're the bad guys - they think YOU are.
Education can help them realize that the United states didn't kill their sister just because they stopped sending food and she starved to death.

I think terrorism arises because someone is put at a disadvantage by another MORE powerful person. In the wake of having lesser power and being at a disadvantage terrorism results, because when it cannot encounter the more powerful in the face, it takes care of that by creating terror mainly in the minds and so the effect/retaliation is balanced. Essentially, I think terrorism arises because there is no love in the heart of the person or too much love for something that is put to the test. Some pass the test, some fail the test. Those who pass, they find a peaceful way to resolve the issue in their mind or life. Whatever... I don't know, I may be wrong.

The end of terrorism: "What do we teach?"14% Voted for by Order of Chaeronea, Aden.
So what do we teach? And who are the teachers? We teach understanding in the face of evil. We teach respect for the unknown in society. Most of all, we teach to not let our beliefs become bigotry in the face of the ignorance. Every person on this planet is a teacher. The amount of possible information that can be learned from a single act or sentence is mind-blowing. One thought leads to another. Often, one teaching implies other teachings when not clarified. Therefore, we must be precise and strong about our teachings, and make sure they are always for the benifit of every person. The selfless teachings are the strongest and usually broadly accepted. So now it is time to pass on the philosophy of teaching. Teach as though those teachings will become a reality, because one day they will. Now pass on the teaching. And teach how to teach and pass on teaching. Teach against hate, bigotry, and selfishness. That is how to end terrorism and destruction.

I know what the solution is to end terrorism. Kill the terrorists and all that affiliate themselves with them. No more terrorists. Don't confuse an extremist who only wants to kill you with someone who is oppressed BY the terrorists. I hate this damn ignorance people seem to have when it comes to such drastic problems.

belief phenomenaVoted for by ah huh.
To be powerless is as much an ego trip as the need to have power over others. The root of conflict (therefore terrorism) is "belief". If one believes something then just by the mere existance of this "belief" creates something which requires defence. "Belief" or believing things is a product of fear. The fear of "not knowing". Once one "believes" it is inevitable that an attacker will physically manifest. The existance of something to defend must attract the attention of another who "believes" something else. "Defenders" & "attackers" both need each other in order to even exist. They are flipsides of the same coin. This particular "coin" is the ego. The "solution" is a personal choice not to "believe" anything & accept "not knowing".

Terrorists just want to be heardI do not believe that killing the terrorist would be a solution, cause then we're as worse as the terrorist themselves. Also, if we WOULD do it, there will always arise new terrorist, who want to vengeance their past-away fellows, or find new subjects to terrorize.Voted for by Coeckie.
I believe that terrorism can be stopped by talking to the government of the country from whom the terrorist in question come from. If we can find out their problem, and most importantly, solve it, the terrorist will loose their willing to show themselves. Cause this is what terrorist are, they want that people listen to them and their believes, but they don't have any power or eloquence to tell the public. They can't show up in the news just like the president, or congressmen, etc. Therefore, they search other ways to come in the news.

reasons?there is no one reason for a terrorist attack... it could be for media purposes, to gain control over someone or even for the sport. The only way I believe terrorism will ever cease is if people in the world gain respect for one another, but the chances of that are veryvery low.Voted for by Second.
