Some perfer meat and some like veggie’s. I personally do not have a problem with killing animals as long as you eat them and NOT for trophy purposes.

Slightly different opinion...10% Voted for by Kahlan4, decoupage-dish, Deadly Shame.
I have been a vegetarian for over five years, but my opinion differs slightly from most vegetarians. I don’t think that eating meat is wrong (though I do think most people eat a lot more than they need to), it’s really quite a natural habit. The reason I’ve chosen to give it up altogether is because the conditions in which so many of those animals are raised are immoral.
If you happen to be one of those rare individuals who purchase meat and dairy from humane farms (or raise animals yourself) and/or shy away from fast food, I applaud you. Billions of animals spend their lives suffering in factory farms; so organic farms are heavenly in comparison. Actually, it’s the knowledge of factory farms that prohibited me from ever eating meat again.

meat eating vegi buff7% Voted for by wishfulldreamer, lil black cat.
i believe that killing animals is wrong, but i also believe that just rebeling aginst animal killers and not eating meat is wrong. thats just letting them be killed for no reason. so the way i see it is as long as people keep killing animals i’m going to keep eating meat so as not to let the animals die just to be wasted.

I’ve been vegetarian for about a third of my life, but I agree with the general idea of killing for food. I just don’t like the taste of meat… or the texture… or the smell… I also think, however that if people were shown when they buy the meat they buy, how that animal lived and was killed people would eat much more healthily. If you’re going to stand by eating meat and killing animals for food you should be willing to kill an animal yourself, skin it and cook it. I’m not saying you do that for all your meals… just be willing to.

New AdditionVoted for by Kahlan4.
I have just recently decided not to eat meat. I think that killing for food is fine, but the way animals are killed is not. I just watched the first part of supersize me, and it disgusted me how chicken is processed and made into chicken nuggets. Also, I think a lot of the animal is wasted when it is killed because we as a society don’t use most of what isn’t considered good edible meat. It’s really a waste and to me it’s not ok. Also, I don’t agree with the additives and hormones given to animals to make them grow or additives in meats. I’m more protesting, individually/on my own, the hormones and additives because they really do have a negative effect on those who eat a lot of meat.

It's all about the moralsVoted for by heresyistheway.
If your family is fairly well off and can afford to buy soy products and other substitutes, they should. There is no point in killing something if there's a way to avoid it. For 3rd world countries yes they can eat meat, or any such poor people, as long as the killing is done quickly and painlessly for the animal and it's conditions prior to the the slaughter have been humane. But for upper and middle class familes a lacto-ovo vegitarian life style can be very healthy if you pay attention and do take the time to figure out exactly what you need, it's extra effort but it's worth some lives. Just one person being vegitarian isn't gonna save even a single chicken, but it won't be making one go to waste either cause there's always someone to eat it. But if more people change, someday with a couple thousand strong maybe 2 less cows a year will be bred for death. It's a grassroots thing and probably is not very effective. But I can't live knowing the unnecessary suffering those creatures go through.

No meatVoted for by humanimal.
To me, a vegetarian is something that does not eat meat or, I suppose, anything from an animal.
What's funny is when a so-called vegetarian says he or she eats fish. Guess what. Fish has meat.
I eat meat. I respect the fact that I'm a human being, "designed" to consume both plant and animal products.
To whom it may concern, humans are omnivorous. Get over it. A human killing another animal for food is no more or less "wrong" than any other omnivorous or carnivorous animal doing so. To believe otherwise is arrogance.

A vegetarian is a person who just wants attention, they point the finger at how horrible we treat animals to keep ourselfs fed, while not realizing they arent exactly perfect, and there is bound to be atleast a few things they do, or support that harm people, animals, or the enviornment in some way shape or form. I also think its funny when vegitarians drink milk and eat cheese, or use shampoo's and other products tested on animals. No one is perfect, no one will ever be perfect, so why dont we just all start acting like humans and stop pretending to be so wonderful?

A FriendVoted for by swimfallen09.
my friend is a vegetarian and this is what she believes If you would not be able to kill your own food then you shouldn't eat meat and factory farms are the worst thing for this world because they feed the animals all this nasty stuff and basically just fatten the animals as uch as they can in as short time period as possible and do not kill the animals as humanely as possible.
