I mean, honestly, I've read through a few of these posts and I see the same random BS in all of them. Just because somebody disagrees with your choices in life does not mean that you are "discriminated" against. Homosexuality is not based genetically, it is a choice. PERIOD. Nothing about it is not based on an individual's choice. If any of you had picked up a sociology book at any time in your life, you would know that there is a difference between GENDER and GENDER IDENTITY.
Gender is a person's sex. It is biologically determined, i.e. XX or XY.
Gender identity is a person's sexual orientation. It is not genetically determined it is chosen. Granted, you don't just wake up gay one day, but the batter does have the decision as to which side of the plate he hits the ball on.
The agrument of racists vs. homophobes is open and shut. There is a comparison between the two, but just because your "so-called" rights are trampled once in your life, does not mean that you are a target of racism.
Call me an idiot. I could give a shit really. If anyone here makes the bible argument, about anything, they need to take a step back and look at their own life. Nobody can be that perfect. Nobody. And if you're going to pick somebody else apart because they disagree with you on ONE thing, then you're worse off than those whom you so desperately prey upon.
Wake up. Yes it's well and good to vote for what makes people happy, but you're forgetting that in your tyrade to make the homosexuals of the world happy, your trampling my rights as an individual who believes that it is wrong.
And it is in that sense that this problem will never be solved. No matter how many people you please by saying what is "right". You will always walk over somebody else who believes what you think is "right" is actually "wrong."

I was actually JUST talking to my friends about this the other day! I thought, hell pretty soon there is gonna be "Gay States" and "Straight States"
and voila! civil war all over again. Gay rights should not be fiddled within the government. No where in the constitution of THE UNITED STATES, does it state that the country is run off of any sacred texts. It remarks the Bible here and there sure, in the pre-amble. I wonder if Bush knows what "Antidisastblishmentarianism" is (might have spelled that wrong but ya'll get the point) It's probably too big of a word for him to comprehend. And for those of you who don't know what that is, it means bascially seperation of the church and the state. Which I think this country REALLY needs to look into A WHOLE LOT MORE. Except more like, "Seperation of Church and gov't" ~Tet

Did most of you miss the question? The question wasn't what is your opinion on being black, or gay. The question was whats the difference between Homophobia and Racism. First of all, Racism has nothing to do with being black, it has everything to do with all races. This is simple if you think about it. Homophobia: Phobias are extreme fears, thus, Homo-phobia is the extreme fear of Homo, which means same. I imply you mean same sex homo. Thus a homophobic person is one who has an extreme fear of gay people. Racism: The dislike, or hate of any certain RACE, not thought, not belief, not color, but RACE! The difference is that you can't be racist against gays, simply because being gay is not a race. Thats a very simple answer if you think abou the words as they are.
