A lot of religions believe there is an after life. Many saying there is a Heaven and a Hell.
Hell:
Noun
1. a. Often Hell The abode of condemned souls and devils in some religions; the place of eternal punishment for the wicked after death, presided over by Satan.
"eternal punishment". Everyone is different, how do we all get punishment when we all hate different things..is there really individual punishments for us all? What if we hate Heaven..if that were a punishment we may as well be sent there instead. Hell is talked about a lot but sometimes it just seems unrealistic. Then again still the best thing we can say is "maybe". Our opinions are golden, but the only people who can really tell us the answers basically can't.
What do you guys think about Hell?

I have to say, I do not believe in hell. I believe that hell is a prison that humans create for not feeling worthy to be in Heaven with the Lord.

Hell is the absence of Love. God is Love. And, it behooves us to make sure we keep your conscience alive so, when we die, we can say we’re sorry.

My outlook on Hell has been dramatically influenced by the movie “What Dreams May Come” with Robin Williams. Everyone has their own hell. My hell is my life without everything I love and with everything I hate and fear. Through my eyes and mind, that is everyones hell. if you hate being cold, it’s cold, if you hate being hot, it’s hot. Heaven is the opposite, as it always has been… everything you have ever wanted-it’s yours, everything you love- you have. You can be who you want, look how you want to, and shape your world to your liking. —Poetic Pixie

Heaven is a state of true freedom: the ability to experience everything and anything, with infinite possibilities and no limits. This implies that hell exists within heaven.
Logically hell should be the ‘opposite’ of heaven. So here’s a question for you: what is the opposite of infinity? Answer that and you have defined hell.

I don’t believe hell to be an actual “place” but more of a “state of mind”...I think that you can imagine yourself to be in hell…like you cna “think” yourself into hell, and if you truly believe you are in hell, then you quite possibly could BE in hell—hmm I think I’ll write a column about this _

I can never be afraid of going to a place that good people go to also. And if I’m not good enough for Heaven, then their priorities aren’t worth fretting about missing out on. I can’t become ashamed of things just because somebody tells me I should be. If I don’t find justification behind an action then I just won’t do it, plainly and simply. If that makes me a reprehensible sinner, then so be it. No God can force me to regret being myself.

Nope, I think hell is artificial, along with heaven. I belive they were created to scare you into doing good. In christianity at least, the bible was written in metaphor which brings me to belive that maybe, just maybe hell isent as bad as its told, yet still, I do not belive.

Hell, as referred to as the place where bad people go for eternal punishment is a teaching of false relegions and has no real meaning, in the bible the word can be found in some translations, but it is derived from two words. The Hebrew word she’ohl’ and the Greek word hai’des. These two words any bible scholar can tell you are words that describe the common grave of the dead. The Greek word ge’enna, however is used as a symbol of eternal destruction. This is where the idea for “hell” came from. Origanally ge’enna or “Gehenna” was a garbage dump outside the city walls of Jerusalem which continually burned with the aid of sulfur and brimstone, where all the filth thown out was disposed of including dead animals and crimanals who weren’t fit for a decent burial. That is the “hell” we were taught to fear to scare us into being good. Truly if there was a God that is loving and caring he would not subject the humans that he created, and sent his son to die for our sins to such an awful place.

The reason hell will be so bad is because God’s spirit will be no where to be found there.

if you believe in hell and you have committed some serious sins then you will go there, but hell won’t be fire and brimstone hell will be waht you creat it to be. hell is the illusion your mind will creat for you when you are dead or better yet not your mind but your soul. personally i think a guy created hell to get frightened people to follow him since he could save them, i do not believe in heqven or hell but for those of you who do, you will create your own punishment if you go to hell…

heaven? hell? do they really exist? Seriously, to me, hell is simply soemthing you put yourself through. It is not some place down below our feet. I would think the only typical hell that could exist is something bad that you don’t let go of…and after you die, it sticks with you because you make yourself go through it again and again through your mind. But that is all religious nonsense anyway. I don’t dictate my life whether I go to heaven or hell. I don’t think they exist, it is too phony. Nothing is black and white. Nothing is all good or all bad.
