Love is like...Voted for by SilverSuicide.
Love is like when you feel the rain and see the magic for the first time.It is when you realize that tears are not just for sadness.Love is when you wake up on the inside and you feel like you really matter.

love=counterpartVoted for by mellowdy.
love is finding the counterpart of one's soul in another, whether that be of the same sex or opposite. love is showing every emotion, every ounce of being you have to your lover. and true love is reciprocal, a 100% giving and 100% receiving. love is having someone know how you feel by never looking at you directly. i've never been in love, but i am looking foward to it. i sure have high expectations.

love?Voted for by mismixsxy.
It's hard to say, but I believe love is only told by that person. Love is a definition of your own. It's not just there in your face. You cant see it, feel it, or taste it. IT's whats inside of you. It's how you feel. if I walk into the movies and see a couple hung up, I cant just say thier in love. I dont know cause I'm not in thier shoes. Love is you own word and meaning to it.

LoveI have been told in my Skills for Life class that the feeling of love is a chemical reaction in our bodies that causes us to feel an attraction to one particular person.Voted for by intangableenigma.
I am slightly leaning towards that opinion, since I am somewhat of a logical and scientific person. But I cant bring myself to believe it fully.
It could be that the complexity of our human minds have created another meaning to our reaction to these "chemicals". Speaking of destiny, forever, and all that jazz.
But I do feel something more than just a chemical reaction towards my boyfriend. Yes, its one of those school relationships, and my parents think it will never last.
To them, I appear to be an irrational adolesent. But maybe I am
We dated for about four months last year; i enjoyed his company very much, but we had to break up during the summer.
I missed him all through the summer.
When school started again, I felt extremely happy that I could see him again.
We have been dating again for about another 4 months, and I appear (and feel) to love him even more.
Hmmm... i used the word love.
Since I am still a child, Im not quite sure what the true meaning of love is.
So, long story short, to keep this from being to lengthy:
Love is not all a chemical reaction in our bodies.
Its not just a word.
Its also a deep desire for that one person, burning from inside us, embracing, cherishing, sharing, and consoling as well.

love is...complicatedi believe that true love means to want that person to be happy even if it hurts you or doesn't involve you. so in my opinion all love is, is pain sooner or later the consequences of loving someone will come and bite you in the butt. whether they don't love you anymore, they die, they do something horrible. i know it's really skeptical but when i look at people in love i always think to myself"it will never last" but love is beautifull and i think that it teaches us great things. the last person i loved, my best friend ever who got me through alot decided she couldn't put up with me anymore and f**ked off and it hurt alot for a while but eventually i came to thank her cos if she hadn't of broken my heart i would still be the person i was it gave me the push i needed and completly changed me into a better person. so although i think loveis hurtfull i also think that it is good and it can teach us things and in some cases bring us true enlightenmentVoted for by XInSaNiTy-FaIrX.

Inexplicable.Any and all definitions of concepts such as love only take away from its meaning. Just as a sentimental treasure has no numerical value, love has no definitive meaning. It is meaningless in the same way happiness is priceless. Happiness cannot be bought. Love cannot be defined.Voted for by BlakDeath015.
