if you loved God, you wouldn't put your own selfish desires above his law, and thereby forcing him to turn you away from the place he set aside for you.

The rain falls on the just and unjust alike. What matters is; do you curse the storm, or plant crops?
just as crops do not grow in dry soil, neither will you grow without challenges.

Gods followers have fought disease, hunger, injustice, and poverty. God's followers volunteer time and money to aid hospitals, hospices, food kitchens and shelters. God's people set up preganancy outreaches for unwed mothers, and drug re-habilitation centers. God's people advocate for those who need social security, and are having trouble getting it.
those people you are talking about are not on God's side. They are serving somebody else.
so, do yourself a favor, take the chip off your shoulder and get to know HIM. HE really is a great God. -
