What do you think about The Da Vinci Code

There have been many people just saying that everything is this book is wrong but not backing it up. This is your chance. This is not a topic for close minded opinions with no proof. Because the Bible said so or the movie says so is not proof enough.

  • Why do people care about Brown's thoughts?

I believe that the book is fiction. Why can't everyone leave Dan Brown alone. If he thinks the stuff that he wrote about is true then that's his own problem.

  • Amazing book, but I wanna know who wrote the movie script

They changed and ruined the story

ALSO his other books are much better I don't see why everyone is making such a big deal

  • Well

Given that I do not believe in Jesus as the son of God, or the Christian view of God... So I think the book is good, but not accurate at all. *shrug*

  • The Problem as I see it

Ok first of all these are not Dan Browns idea he is currently being sued by the writters of holy blood, holy grail written about 15 years for plagerism.

There is no proof at all that jesus was married to Mary Magdelene. Most of the theory comes from the Gnostic Gospel of Mary which says She was loved above the other disciples and that 'Jesus regularly kissed her on the' the word is missing from the near 1800 yr text. So it could have been the hand or the for head. The problem is this stuff about marriage and blood lines really detracts from the fact that the church did lie. but it was really about womens right to equal status in the church. As Mary was possibly his 'First' disciple not Peter and the early christian churches all had wemon a priets.

Look there is nothing wrong with enjoying the book it does raise some interesting points, Well worth persueing these, as long you want to. But if you think as so many people do that that it will bring down the church etc. you are wrong because it offers no alternative. It is always better to have faith than none at all. But you must always examine what it is you have faith in.
