You talk about the mothers....
...like this is an easy decision. Like it's a fun choice to make. You talk about the mother's responsibility because they 'spread their legs.' you talk about all this shit...and not once has anyone mentioned the man's responsibility in this. In many of the situations where abortion becomes an option laid on the table, the man isnt even there to discuss it, let alone be the father of the unborn child. In fact it is often the guy who wants the abortion. Let's talk about male responsibility. Some girl didn't just spread her legs and sperm came rushing out of the nearest innocent male bystander and get her pregnant.
This is what I hate about this debate. It focuses on thing that may or may not constitute a life, and the responsibilty of the mother. And no one ever drags the father into this debate. Where's he in the parenting? Where is he in the money situation? Where is he in the relocation of said child to a supportive adoptive home?
You know where he often is? Out inseminating some other poor girl. He's tellin her how much he loves her. And how it's okay, they don't need to use protection. Or he's rammin some girl he sees as a nobody so hard that the condom breaks (it does happen all you 'condoms are the answer to abortion' people). And then when that poor girl gets pregnant and wants to discuss it with him, all the sudden he ain't answerin his phone, he ain't returning calls. And sometimes when you finally find him he's with that girl he forgot to tell that other girl he was married to. You know what he wants, he wants that baby to disappear. He's gonna take that girl straight to an abortion doctor. And she don't know the first thing that hit her before she's signin' up to have the beginnings of a child removed from inside of her, which is a painful process no matter what way you slice it (no pun intended). Joe Schmuck is handing her a thousand bucks to buy her silence, and he's on his marry way. No baby, no divorce, no child support.
Seriously....girls aren't going around gettin' knocked up by themselves. Nor are they all stupid.
If we're gonna talk about how 'evil' a woman must be in order to have an abortion....let's talk about the a$$h0le that got her like that?!

I'm with you, dude
Stop and think for a moment.
Imagine you're a victim of rape.
You just found out you're pregnant.
What would you do?
This is a question many sudden mothers must consider and answer. Does she want to have a child she cannot care for? Does she want to devote the rest of her life to a baby she didn't even have a choice in conceiving? Or does she want to just move on with her life?
Here are the things I would have to give up to have a kid:
My future - Friends
Driving
The freedom of being single
My goal of becoming a Formula One racer
My racing/engineering career
My Mustang GT
Obviously there are many others, but to save you boredom I won't list them all. Think about all the things you would lose. And while we're at it, let's see what kind of environment the kid would be growing up in, considering I wouldn't be ready for a child:
Mom who doesn't have the first idea how to take care of a kid
Below-poverty budget
Some pretty bad food (I'm a terrible cook)
Government-paid for school
And by the age of 6, probably orphanage.
After giving up my racing, I wouldn't be able to find a very good job. So consider all this and tell me what you think now, because this is the situation for rape victims that do end up expectant.

Try Choice.
Although each and every person has a right way of thinking (yes, humans are killing potential humans whether good, bad, smart, disabled) and the other side as to the mother making the decision whether or not they want a child and whether or not they were raped or weren't.
I say leave the choice who has to carry that potential life in them for nine months has all the say.
Not us, not others or loved ones(unless they truly, truly know them and not what the loved ones would want.) or the government should be saying, "You are not allowed to do this."
I see this topic as something that is only be to chosen by the beholder whether they wish for the fetus to grow or fall.

If you think abortion is wrong, click.
I’m guessing you have never been raped. You have never had anyone violate you so violently you bleed every time you pee. You have never spent 3 weeks praying and crying your eyes out to God asking why is this happening to you. You never looked down at a pregnancy test and thought “this is the product of rape’’ You never had to walk to the clinic knowing that this was the only thing that could ever set you free from his grips because he was still inside you. He still was apart of your life. He made the miracle of life a lie. Once you have, call me and we’ll see if your opinion changes.

Two sides
There are plenty of kids who could use a home and why don't we try to find them homes first before bring all these new homeless kids into the world. I agree completely with the person who said this original comment. If we base our lives on 'What ifs' we get nowhere. We have to do the best we can with what we have. Some women may try to kill themselves if they have to have the child of the person who raped them or be depressed. It can cause serious issues for them. LIfe isn't fair. Being raped isn't fair, waking up every night with nightmares of what happend isn't fair, not trusting anyone cause they might hurt you isn't fair- plenty of things aren't fair but we need to do the best we can with them. It would be a injustice to the woman to take away the right to their own body. WE can't make that decision for them. Destiny is what you make of it! You can't mess with destiny, the future changes every second and fate has a way of happening without asking our opinions or letting us know its up to us. But there might be family members who wish their loved ones had an abortion instead of losing their future, their innocence, maybe their life if they were endangered by the pregnancy or killed themselves. WE have to consider the way it affects those people.
Go look at the women who work day and night to care for their children and their kids are always hungry and taking drugs or selling them to eat, or they are fighting and putting their life on the line everytime they walk out the door. Thats not pretty either.
Look at the women who were raped and won't ever get over it- every minute that baby is in them they are reminded of w hat happened and can't heal. Rape is so traumatizing and the women can't trust other people and can become very isolated. Go see the children running in the streets , who are getting sick, running barefoot with not future- who have been adopted or are in foster care or even are the children of young mothers or women who didn't get to abort. Thats not pretty either- go to see the situation in foster care- thats not pretty.
Go to a classroom, thats underfunded, where the teachers don't want to be there and don't care about the kids and where no one believes in the kids and just hold them off the streets for a couple hours till they get shot or get older and drop out. Thats not pretty either- there are two sides to every story and please look at both.

our bodys are a temple
our bodys are a temple and it is a womans choice I have considered abortion but in the long run changed my mind and am glad I did.But I still had to look at the many things involved I used contraception on both of my kids and it failed on both.
I looked at could we afford the new baby. And found that we could.I also had to think of my older daughter and found that she was excited over the new baby.Aside from some minor issues after her sister was born.
There are many factors to be considered and looked at.And in the end it comes down to the person.Could I have done it yeah.Adoption scares me more the abortion simple because you can not know for sure that your giving the child to a good person.
In the end it remains a womans choice.Keep it legal and safe other wise we go back to the back room abortioners and the lives lost during that time.

50/50
50/50
If someone can live to save the world, they can also live to destroy it.
The thing about the human mind is that it will achieve whatever it wants by hook or crook if it really wants it-so if you would rather the baby gets aborted nicely in a good hospital rather than some botched abortion that might even kill the mother, than it has to be legalized.
Also, another thing-condoms can tear. The basic thing is abstinence, and when I suggested it to a group of people online, three fourths raged upon me telling me I couldn't force my views down their throats.
At the same time, there should be a limit on the number of abortions-only one, that's it. After that you're expected to be careful.

Not all life is equal, our decision
As much as we would like to think of ourselves as believing in equality, lets face it, most of us don't.
In society there are different social classes, different ethnic groups, different cultures and communities. These are not all equal and these all believe in different opinions regarding the morality of abortion.
IT IS YOUR MORAL DECISION. That is why it is a moral issue. If it were an ethnic issue than one person would have a say and everyone would agree. Everyone has their own different attitudes, values and beliefs in regards to abortion and other moral issues and these attitudes, values and beliefs are all derived from our cultural background.
Not only that, but other social and mental issues effect the quality of life and the equality they have within society.
Certain diseases or deformities are critised.
My point to you is that depending on your social background is how you will feel towards abortion. Depending on possible deformities, diseases or mental illnesses your child may have makes you re-consider the value of it's life.
Is it really fair and is it really justice to let a child who may not be social accepted be born.
In the end, it comes down to morality.
My opinion towards abortion is that it is your decision, let it always be that way, and let no-one else dictate your decisions for you.

I've got it!
I've got it, why don't we make it illegal to get pregnant, when pregnancy is not desired.Have them sign some sort of confession that the pregnancy was unintended, pay some sort of fine or punishment, but leave abortion legal. For is not the unwanted pregnancy what we are all against, all in agreement on.None of us want the unwanted pregnancy, let's make that illegal.Don't insurance rates go up for an individual when he or she participates in dangerous activity. Why should I pay for unwanted pregnancys, when they are so avoidable. But please quit telling me that the cancellation of a pregnancy, with the destruction of the living matter within the woman's womb is what you want as a liberty. The liberty that you want is to have as little resistance as possible to participate in unresponsible sex.The evil is, in not taking sex as serious as it should be.Let's be honest.

If I were going to suffer, I would want to be freed from my tainted flesh for sure, even if I had not been physically born yet.
