Men often give labels to women and when women give those labels to each other it only makes it ok for men to do it.

There was a time women were considered property, a man could do whatever he wanted with his property, women had no rights at all. Men were free to have as many women as they wanted, with or without benefit of marriage but a woman could only have one husband and no lovers and be acceptable in the eyes of society. I think that perhaps the old double standard has carried forward into our modern day in some people’s minds. I personally have been called a slut and a whore by pepople who know absolutely nothing about me or my life, simply because I write erotica. People always have and will judge other people, of either gender, because it makes them feel superior in some way.

they do that out of envy some women can embrace thier body and love the booty much more than others in turn the others get a lil envious of sush control
then again it could always be that the labeler is just a righteous who thinks its wrong. public opinion cant be changed too much in a society like this. now sex and sexuality is welcomed with open arms...and there are still (somehow) old fashioned values remaining... there ya go

Now I generally agree that sometimes men suck (being one of them) but stop pointing fingers! First of all, it's not about gender, it's about personality and character. Women aren't exactly angels either. I think sex wise we come to the same level. It's people with different personalities. That's the answer! As to how this whole slut issue happens, yes you're right unfair, it's just one of those things that are slowly changing in today's day and age. Just like views on homosexual relationships and so on.

when people label some women as sluts, they are sometimes right. but what the heck, if a guy cheats on a girlfriend hes a slut, and vice versa, men arent better than women, they can be slut, whores and stuff too.

I have to say that this is wat society creates. I think women may tend to be more manipulative, but only because in a male-dominated society, that¡¦s all women have. Before, men has power directly while women were thought of as property. Anyway, back to the topic. Yes men are labeled too. But it has a different implication. It would be worse to call a woman a **** than a man untrue. The word **** is considered profanity. But have you ever thought about all the names women are called? There are more insults at women than there are men because of chauvanistic disguting people. Our language is biased. Why are boats and cars called ¡§she?¡¨ Also, did u know that when there was a witch hunt some villages killed all but 2 of their women? That is the extent of brutality and sexism in our society. I think people just like to think of themselves as superior.

I think the actual label has less to do with action in bed and more to do with action in public (such as dress). If you dress like a slut and wear make-up like a slut, you will be called a slut, because if you're not one, you're sure trying to look like one, even if you don't sleep around. It just so happens that those who dress like sluts and whores, often are sluts and whores so don't wear skirts that are made of less material than one of my socks.

There is the odd occasion that men actually do get actually whores but most of the time it's just an insult. I think it can be for a number of different reasons. I think jealousy comes into certain parts, they want the girl the girl wont have them. Also maybe the girl overflirts and they overexadurate by calling her a slut and of course there is just someone trying to put someone they don't like down. I don't think it's really fair to do this and men tend to get away with this. Have you ever heard of a girl going to a man "your a slut" and bullying them? I think the issue we really should be talking about is why in gods name men get away with calling females things like that and not the other way round. I think some males still wish they were in the 18th century, being able to control woman totally and stuff... Maybe i'm exadurating for all males but certainly a percentage of them do have this philosophy.

titles r just titles just because soemone calls u something doesnt mean u r that. someone may be highly jealous of u and call u that. soemone may envy the hell out of someone else and call u that. it could be projection and someoen had a crappy day adn call u that 2 relieve some tension. this is human behavior. sluts arent gender only things. Men can be "sluts". i think women are called sluts when they do more than an excessive amount of sleeping around with the opposite sex. That is highly unhealthy and not very good for you at all. This is a new time and age and for some reason it feels like to me almost sleeping with many people is okay now. It really doesnt have to do with self esteem. Sex is a drug. It makes u feel really good. Sometimes u need a "high". I dont think sleeping around is a very good idea. People love sex. People love eating. Its normal. But in way too much excess its not very good. Not trying to be a prude. Just a comment.
