Teenage Love

i hate it when, after the first week or so, people are already saying, "i love you" to their partner. and then suddenly they break up after 3 months together. is it really love?

love has no age as lots have said, it's true, and you know sonme people say love the ones who love you, but you can't love some one only because they like you! i mean I'm in love with this guy who i am sure totally hates me, we had a very bad year of fighting, and we haven't been toking for over two years now, i'm sure i love him though, but then there's this other guy who loves me and i'm sure he does but i just don't ' Love ' him, he's just a friend, some of my friends just tell me to forget bout that other guy and love who loves me but no... i can't force my feelings, because i know my love is pure, and yes i would die for the guy i love, and he knows that. he's my first love and he's still my only true love although i have thought i loved after him but it was nothing real. when you are touched by love you just are, and no one can determine when you should feel it, it's a pure true feeling from the heart, and it is a feeling that if it's true, no words can express it. teenage love can be very dramatic maybe the drama is exagerated, but we're teenagers ... we usually have an over flow of emotions which are not always true, yet we make believe they are..sometimes.

  • Too broad a term
To speak of 'teenage love' is too broad a term.
Ages 13 to 19 are worlds apart.

Age 13 = nah, that's not love, it's lust, infatuation etc

Age 19 = yup, one can be confident the feelings are indeed love

  • Love or Life in motion
Is this love or just life in drive???

you tell me you love me the you are all mine. you Pushed for us to always be honest and i will always hold you to it.

*you will just end up falling back in love with me =P
    you wish
    *lol
and who ever said that I fell out of love with you
    *hmmm
I just made myself move forwerd

If I'm moving forward than is the statement above a contradiction and you are really moving back???

or am I just crazy. You are my life and you are what keeps me going forward and its the I love you's and all the cute things about you that hold me together.

So is this Love or Life in drive and if it is Life, am I just a detour leading you back around to the start?

I'd like to know what your reaction would be if you found out your lover said this to an ex of theirs.

  • Teen love does exist
Most teens I think confuse lust and infatuation with love; but teen love does exist. The problem is, many of these relationships don't work out simply because of immaturity. To put everything in perspective, this is the most narcissistic, immoral, and irresponsible generation. A teen committed to a relationship with one person is discouraged. For teens: How many of you have heard "you're too young" or "you have plenty of time for that in the future" or similar things? Teen love is very real; but alas, people are too immature to have a successful relationship, and it is highly discouraged among peers, adults, and society. Never let anyone tell you that you don't know what love is.
