Is time travel possible?

Do you think it would be possible to go back in time or visit the future? What about the space time continueum?

It is foolish to say time travel is imposible because sitting here typing i will finish after i began, so have i not traveled into the futur?

  • You almost have Einsteins theory right.

Einstein did say that if you travel fast enough in one direction you can in fact slow down time. But he said that if you did in fact "travel through time" then you'd only be able to have a visual effect on the future or past. In my own opinion, Time Travel is impossible, but Time Viewing is possible and that was the basis of Einstein's theory.

  • Time

Time is nothing more than the keeping of record of the begining and ending of events ,and and the stage of deteriorization of material, you can not travel through records, you may read them, or observe them but you can travel in time , no more than you can travel in ledger

Can Anyone Be Trusted With Time Travel

A animated stick figure on paper can move in two dimensions. We can move in three dimensions. In fact we "choose" to move in three dimensions all the time, we walk over to the kitchen, walk upstairs, walk downstairs. With four dimensions, I think it's a matter of "choosing" to walk in time. No one has accomplished it yet, that we know of, because no one has yet understood to "choose" to move in four dimensions. I believe that time is the fourth dimension and the ability to choose (free will) is the fifth dimension and wisdom is the sixth dimension (four other additional dimensions are required for String Theory - ten in all). A larger question is, what if you could discover how to choose to move through time, what would your attitude then be? What would your reaction be? Would you go nuts telling everyone around you, bragging? That would be damaging because in whatever time you were in, you would be captured, jailed and killed as some threat to society or as some alien. That would be damaging because in whatever time you were in, you would be captured, jailed and killed as some threat to society or as some alien. See what I just did? I gave you a sense of time independence for a moment by repeating that last sentence. You thought, hey, I already read that didn't I? Perhaps it's possible to better learn the sense of moving in four dimensions. Yes, the bigger question is, and perhaps the barrier, there has been no one yet who could be TRUSTED with the ability to freely move in four dimensions. Science has learned that gravity slows down time. I do know that the better one can predict the future, the more similar it is to time travel for if you could travel five years ahead, then come back, you could win every major lottery, stock prediction and every other choice related to world events.

  • It already exists
Going to the past is called memory. Going to the future is called imagination.

Time is a construct of the mind therefore the mind can travel in it. The body is not part of time in the sense that we think of it. The body's time cannot be reversed. It only goes in one direction: forward.
