Do you think inter-racial dating is okay? I mean, yes, it's getting more and more acceptable, but do you think it should be? Do you think people should stick to their own race? I personally think it shouldn't matter what color skin you have. It only matters what's deep within. I'm in an inter-racial relationship right now, in fact. I've never been with a black guy in all of my 16 years here on Earth actually. My step-dad is white and I guess I just grew up being more attracted to white people. Anyways, that's beside the point. Please respond. I'm interested in what you think.

Race is Culture is Heritage9% Voted for by infoterror, mudgod.
I am not for dating or mating between ethnic-cultural groups, because so much of what is specialized in each is lost, and we're left with the grey race who are perfect fodder for a corporate society. If you want culture, you want to preserve ethnic-cultural groups and so you're against inter-racial, inter-cultural and inter-ethnic dating/mating.

asians should stick with asians? blacks should stick with blacks? whites should stick with white?
even though i am asian, i have never been in a relationship with an asian guy before. i just find myself more attracted to white guys. [maybe its because most asians and blacks dont like rock... and that means a lot to me...not trying to be mean] i dont think that race should interfer with how you feel towards someone. right now, my boyfriend is white, and i'm asian. its weird, but i have considered that his mom wouldnt like me because i'm not white. but its what inside, and i know that i am beautiful within. and i know that i love him more than anyone else there is. she should be happy.. so over all, race shouldnt matter

interracial dationg and interracial marriage is a beautiful thing. God made us all. We are all different races but we are equal. If two people want to share a bond as in marriage, and if they love each other, there is nothing wrong with that. i think that it is beautiful

Interacial DatingVoted for by i-miss-him.
I think interacial dating is fine. All that matters is the love you share, unless you want a love based on appearances. Yet i can also understand those who want to stay with their own culture and there's not wrong with that, as it could be a risk(and again i think it's easier as you feel your companion would understand your situation) same as there is nothing wrong with mixing cultures. You should take the risk if it's what you want, don't be afraid or hold back, because you never know what your missing. We are all human, we all bleed, cry, laugh, eat, drink and die etc. Someone made a coment before about crayons.. well we are not a box of crayons thank you very much. And as for animals, thanks for comparing animals to humans.. and by the way there are some dogs who are cross-bred, anyways that's not the point, that's irrelevant. When you fall in love it shouldn't matter what colour their skin is, or where they came from, or what language they speak. Surely you should focus on the more important things like personality, if they treat you right, meet your needs, show you love etc. Though it's understandable to have been asking yourselves those questions. It's ok, all you need to do is follow your heart, no one elses and do what makes you happy!

It seems to me...Voted for by infoterror.
...that a lot of people prefer to date within their own race because there are often times real cultural differences that simply don't appeal to one culture or the other. Speech patterns, music preferences, style of dress, and overall lifestyle... all these things come into play when you meet other people. Rightly or wrongly, we all judge people initially on outward appearance and first impressions.
There is a natural tendency for most folks to be more comfortable with people who are more like themselves. Compatibility is generally higher when you share a common background and common interests.
I understand why some people prefer not to date outside their race, but unfortunately they are almost always labeled "racist" if they say it. We have preferences in all aspects of our life; what we eat, what we read, our career choices, etc. Why can we not have preferences for our love interest without it being considered bigotry?
There are good and bad people in every race. The important thing is how two people treat one another and whether or not they make each other happy.

HEATIN' UP THAT MELTIN' POTVoted for by bob2314.
if all good things come from God. and everyone here seems to think that all the races separately are good. knowing that God created us and made it possible for us to interbreed. wouldn't that suggest that God is ok with interracail love?

People Are People.Voted for by A Dream in Crisis.
Truth is, we're all human. And some things will never change. It's like the song "Hey boy you can't go where the others go, cuz you don't look like they do." We'll never make one single race out of this, people are just too judgemental or fearful because of how they've been raised or, possibly past experiences. As far as interracial dating goes, I personally have no opinion one way or another on the matter. If you love him/her, and he/she makes you happy, what differences does it make if he/she's black, white, tan or purple. Separate races are a creation of nature, not a mistake on our part. We need to stop trying to compensate for something we didn't cause.

Does it matterVoted for by omarmohamed.
The baeuty about love, i think, is that the saying 'blinded by love' really means that you see the person you love from the inside not her looks. So why the hell should you marry someone from your own racial group if don't love them as much as you love someone from another racial group. People are people at the end of the day. Marry whoever you love more.

There's nothing wrong with inter-racial dating. People should be able to date people based on their personality, and not their race.

Adam and Eve were blackEvery single man and woman, either white, asian or black, can be traced back to the beginning of the human race 40,000 years ago in AFRICA.Voted for by Brew Kline.
THE ORIGIN OF MAN IS NEGRO.
White people today are descendents of the only race there was in the beginning: BLACK.

We are all one raceThere is only one race, the human race... our DNA proves it. You mean intercultural. not interracial. interacial would be like a man an an orangatang. Thus I would say no. But I'm pretty sure you mean cultures. But all cultures all have people of the same "species" or kind, and a genetically diverse couple could have children with all the different "races" we see today within 3 generations (Possibly in 1 generation, but that would be very rare)Voted for by Doom Pickels.

What's The Big ProblemI don't see the problem with interracial relationships. Personally, i prefer them. It is just a color! Physically the only differance between blacks and whites is their color, and maybe the shape of their eyes and nose. But guess what; We all still bleed red and our hearts still beat all the same. If you really love someone, the color of their skin should NOT matter!Voted for by mel24601.

Ummmm... Why does it matter????WHO CARES????? Why is this even still brought up?!?!?! The only differences between blacks and whites, men and women, hispanic and asian, Austrailian or Nicaraguan, why does it make any difference? I think I know why. It's that we keep asking ourselves the question. The reason we keep asking IS because we keep asking! It's a self-perpetuating thing! I don't think I'm making much sense, though.Voted for by Xelgaroth.
We are not different! So if we keep asking ourselves, "why are we different?" or "should we date each other?" we'll never get an answer! So we'll just keep asking the question! It's like asking, "Why do unicorns have green spots? Unicorns don't exist, so the question is irrelevant and unintelligible. The day we realize this is the day that race will cease to be an issue in society. When we stop MAKING it an issue, it won't BE one anymore. Am I making any sense? -

Race =/= Culture =/= Heritage
No, Prozak. There is no way that specialization (that takes most species more time than humans have existed as a seperate species) could possibly apply to humans. Furthermore, specializaion requires niches. How can the concept of a niche apply to a species that can remake its environment at whim? Specializaion occurs in response to varying environments - but environmental variance (in regards to survival) went out of the picture with the Neolithic Age.mudgod

If you are an atheist you may start with science but when you believe God created everything there is only one starting point.
May I point out you are deliberately trying to lead the debate tut tut lol

God made Adam and Eve. in them was enough genetic diversity to have children that could adapt to almost any enviorment. Just becuase you interbreed, doesn't mean they are less uniqe, in fact, they are most unique. Because they are genetically diverse. And over time, humans become genetically speicialized. Meaning that they could die if they didn't have the genes that would allow their children to survive in a new enviorment. God intended genetic diversity, so that people could colonize different areas of the world, and could adapt to changed within a few generations. That is what happened. But there is nothing bad at all from letting people interbreed. As it is simply what God ordained in the first place. A man is always a man, no matter how different they are. And a lot of times, people of the same "race" are less genetically similar than someone is to someone of another "race". As DNA only differs by .2% at the most in the whole human race. (discluding down syndrome, and other mutations that simply just copy the same DNA too many times)
