Inter-racial Dating

Do you think inter-racial dating is okay? I mean, yes, it's getting more and more acceptable, but do you think it should be? Do you think people should stick to their own race? I personally think it shouldn't matter what color skin you have. It only matters what's deep within. I'm in an inter-racial relationship right now, in fact. I've never been with a black guy in all of my 16 years here on Earth actually. My step-dad is white and I guess I just grew up being more attracted to white people. Anyways, that's beside the point. Please respond. I'm interested in what you think.

  • Cultures are different
And in certain circumstances , both can and do enter into conflict, Im not against interacial relationships, but i warn causion in going into one thinking that because it is a popular trend , there will be no conflict. One of my daughters is married top a black man, and he is a good man, from a good family, but our ways are different, and it has caused problems.
especialy when it comes to raising of our grandkids,
even among both families it has caused controversy because there are those who feel that the kids should get the full benifit of some so called "black experience" wanting them to not be exposed to white culture, and vice versa

  • do you not think,
that it is time to stop the convictions look past what has happened to us African Americans who were enslaved, Jews who were starved and murdered, Native Americans who were cheated and stole from? i do in order for our society to advance further we must learn to get along with other races and denominations me being a black person and living in the good ol boy state of south Carolina i indeed understand all to well what it is like to be looked at due to the color of your skin but if my grandparents and family couldn't accept my interracial girlfriend for who she is then, they would have to deal with it i do not look at the color of someones skin when i am considering getting into a relationship with that person i look at who they are i am Christan and would date an atheist because i liked her for who she was not for who she worshiped then again there are extents i highly doubt a person of Jewish decent would date someone with Socialist or Fascist values

  • I think it promotes peace and understanding
I think inter-racial dating and relationships of all kinds rather they be friends ,or more intimate relationships are a beautiful thing. I think they help promote inter-racial harmony and thus promote peace on Earth. I would also agree with the person that said that inter-racial couples make beautiful children ,and possibly smarter children because you get the mental strengths of more then one race. I think that our bodies are just containers for our spirits , the real us. Why does it matter if your container is black ,white , red ,yellow ,purple , green , blue ,or any other color. Why should you consider the color of someone's container when choosing who to spend the rest of your life with. Why not spend more time getting to know what's inside the container instead of worrying about the appearance of the container.
