The question lies within your sentence is of your own belief. Belief in life and to the awnsers of death. Living is an experience which is one of many things and should be explored. As for death, it should be treated as a part of life and not an end as you state. who is to know what lies beyond death.

No greater Love...Voted for by worldofthablind.
I have been through alot. Good and Bad, joyful moments and those filled with sorrow. I have seen humanity at its best. And at its worst... I have been at my best, but most the time I'm at my worst. Ive been a lover and I've been a soldier. I've been a Warrior and I've been a Pascifist. I've been a Killer and a Savior. I have a GREAT love for all people. But I also despize my own species for how we live. We turn away from those that need help. We oppress the weak. We kill each other over nothing... I'm not ashamed to say I've cried for my actions, and the actions I didn't take. Can't help but to see beauty in the world, I have to. Otherwise, you are right,"what is the point?". I'm not a religous person. I'm not even sure if I believe in God. But, I do know this; The point of life HAS to be to make it a better place. Leave it better than when you entered it. Everyone dies. But that doesnt mean you cant make it enjoyable for someone else. Sacrifice your own comfort for another. Compassion is why we are here... Who knows? This may just be one big test...and if so, we are failing miserably.

God needs to see...Voted for by Zero98729.
We're only living so God can see if we should go to heavon....I think God wants to see if we can be what he wants us to be. If we follow him and love like he did we'll die knowing we'll live again. We're only here to love like God did and to try to help others do the same. My friends say that we live to love or help someone...that we save someone elses life during our own. I guess that's true cause when we care about others they care for you and learn to care for everyone else. We live for God and we live to live again in heavon.

You Died to Get to LifeVoted for by david13.
The point of living is to not be dead. You already no what death is like. Death means no awareness. Life means awakening to everything that can be experienced while alive. Death is the biggest secret in the universe. No one else knows about it except for homo sapien. And that single piece of knowledge has brought us great misery and great accomplishment. There is another secret. That secret is the key to hapiness in life. That is to love without expecting or wanting anything back. In essence if you can be like our Sun which gives life by emanating boundless energy to our Earth, then you will shine like a star. Clear your mind. Don't think. Just allow yourself to be. Be yourself. Accept yourself. Then love others. Life will become the point in itself.

In a Way, You're RightInstead of wondering whats the point of life, make a diffrence! Give to others. help others. You will end up feeling better. I know it sounds cheesy but its true.Voted for by packer1.
Remember: Thoses who are remembered and are loved are those who didnt care about their own life at all. They cared about other people. So basically, work on making life better instead of sitting there just wondering if its all worth it. -
boomobviously you have already answered your own question. I am not you, but if you haven't killed yourself yet then you are evidently living for something.Voted for by antsandmoths.

Life is to be livedThat is like saying why go pee when eventually I need to again? Why even talk when you will again in a second or two? Why take a step when you will again shortly? Hhuumm...life is for the living. You take in every single moment. You take the good with the bad and make the most of the opportunities before you. Life is what you make of it. If you wish for it to be completely bad experience then do not fret for it can most certainly, but it also can be very sweet at times. No matter how you see it or experience it, life is just as amazing now as when God first created it. We all, including myself at times, find it easier to complain instead of applaud, to frown instead of smile, settling for strife instead of accepting peace, to walk out of our way around positives to merely see negatives. In other words not always but many times we cannot see the forest for the treesVoted for by Energizer Bunny.

Live cause you're gonna dieYou answered your own question with that question, if we're going to die anyway, might as well live as long as ya can, you only get it once. Why is it such a bad thing? Life is absurd, so live absurdly.Voted for by christopheshea.

No one ever saidHave you noticed that in most major religions god dosen't say there is a point to live. He only says that while you live you follow certain rules most of the time. That is because the point is pointless. if you actually find the point in life and complete it, what would you do then? Wouldn't you be bored or something? I definitly am not going to search for smething that makes my life that complete because if I did I would feel incomplete when I had finished it.Voted for by ShadowSong92.

idkidk y. i wish i did and i dont c why point of living, i never did, why should i go through life doing what is deemed by society to be the only way. its illegal to not go to school and if u dont go to college ull be stuck working at mcdonalds. there is no other path heres the "circle of life" born school more school work family die and go to hell im not afraid to go to "hell" because life is hell there cant seriously be that big of a difference that is if i believe in heaven and hell and god and the devil which im pretty sure i dont. not to say wat u cant c doesnt exist but to say that the bible was written by a human and mostly made up to explain the unexplainable. but as far as the "point" of life i believe its to be happy and if ur not happy then nothing else matters which is why i cant c the point of living throught hell just to die and possibly go to hell. there is no "real" answer there is life then theres death thats all there is to it and i dont want to participate in the evolution of the human species b/c were destroying the world and fucking up the enviornment for the other species. in my opinion we are not the superior species just the opposite actually we are inferior to all the rest of the world and all else would be better off if the human species became extince and we stopped altering the creation and destruction of the rest of the world most of the destruction was caused by our species and yes i take some responsibility for that b/c i indirectly have caused the pollution and global warming and total destruction of the world b4 humans existed. so in the end i think all people should kill themselves and whoever they can b/c then all of the "problems" would be solved.Voted for by wrtiersbloc.

to reveal ourselvesThis life, according to Islamic teachings, is a trial. But why a god that is supposed to know everything put us in trials if he already know what we're going to do. The answer is that the trial is for us to know ourselves. Our very actions - bad or good - are the testimony to our true essence. If you argue that people are products of their environment and the "free will" is only a portion of doing or not doing. Islamic philosophers say that since God knew that you would choose to "be" or "do" certain things, he gave you all what it takes to do it and thus reveal yourself to yourself... if you ask me about other stuff i may not answer you cuz i'm looking for answers too!Voted for by eagerspirit.

The answer is simple and of one of two1. The purpose is to fullfill the desire God had for youVoted for by Dwn.
or
2. There is no purpose, mindless empty nothingness does not have a plan , it does not think, and therefore does not create or establish purpose -
Why, you say? What's the point of being born if we're going to end up living? To live, as to live is to die. When alive, you are in a constant state of dying because you cannot stop death. That's the main reason, the reason nobody can stop, but if a person see's other reasons then those are additional meanings of why we are living, or rather, why we [choose to] continue living.Voted for by ShadowSong92.
Well, that's my perspective on it atleast. -
The Question of Life. That's the same thing of asking what the point of life is. For religious people, it's to fulfill the speculations of a greater power. For Atheists like me, there is none. Hey, it sure is depressing, but it's the only realistic ideology out there. There is no point to life other than reproducing and furthering life. For the greater benefit, we're vessels without a reason. Birth, Multiplication, death. Think of it as a virus. A virus' main goal is to spread, and I take that into consideration as the human's main existence on this planet, to spread.Voted for by TheWhiteRaven.

You're right.............what's the point. You might as well just end it all now.Voted for by Nosferatu.

Mine.I see no set reason to live, but make my own.Voted for by M.Ridgway.
My personal opinion is to make a difference in this world, every person has something specific that only they can do, a personal duty that will in some way effect the world. For me its protecting and supporting my family and those less fortunate than myself.
