Is it possible to look beyond the color of ones skin?

Can we get to a point where the color of our skin is no longer noticed. I don’t mean at first glance. I mean period. I think we can. What do you think?

God Bless Tammy

I don't care about skin color. I think it's usless to judge someone because of color, but there will always be someone some where that thinks because one is black they're more likely to act a certian way or because one is eastern they might be a terrorist or whatever. Yes, some people do decide to fall into those stereotypes that society has formed, but we should not judge everyone in that way. The sad part is a large number of people do and often their family does and will. I decided to be different from my family, who is somewhat racist, I saw that as wrong. But how many more people will be different than what they were taught? Society will always have distorted views, only a few will disagree. Not everyone is willing to step outside of the box that generations of hate has put us in. It's sad.

  • not literaly

Just as it is not possible to not notice the build or hair color of the person, it is just as impossible to not notice the color, in my opinion. But it is possible to not care about it. I don't.

  • I dont think color matters

Often we all hear racist comments no matter what color of skin we have. I dont believe the color of your skin should matter. No matter how many people try to deny it, We are all the same. Our color makes us unique. I think everyone is beautiful in their own way, no matter the color.

  • It is Possible Here:

I have seen this exhibit up close. The pictures do not do the exhibit any justice. Go and see it for yourself. Don't be squeamish. Under our skin the body is the same. See for yourself. It is an incredible experience. It is showing in New York's South Street Sea Port. It is also coming to other cities in the U.S.A.

  • It's Possible to look at Amoebas, let alone skin
Beyond the skin, human tissue, fat and muscle all look the same and are of the same color. Look in medical books. All bone is the same color. As we peer deeper and deeper into the body from skin to organisms, to molecules, to atoms, to quarks... to... we see that what we are made up of is common to all humans, animals, living things and non-living things. From one source comes all.

  • What??
So you want to be friggin blind to the fact that I have white skin and my mate has black?

Well if you wish to pursue such an endeavour, be my guest, but it doesn't stand to be something I would desire. Your pushing the idea of anti-racism way too far. Wake up and smell the cheese. My skin is white. I am different to a person who has black skin (identifiable ONLY from what we know currently so far as being that one singular difference, but nevertheless a difference), but only the narrow minded must readily apply difference with the need to apply sameness between everybody. Instead of celebrating or accepting difference, you are actually promoting a denial of accepting the fact, and pretending that there isn't a difference just so everyone is comfortable.
