Marijuana is it really wrong?

In today's society we often portray drugs as detrimental to one's life as well the others that surround him. But in reality when this planet was a lot safer to live on our ancestors used to partake in the sacramental use of such naturally occuring drugs such as cannabis ayahuasca yage and psilocybin

    Can you imagine a world full of stoned individuals. Just think of how peaceful the world would be. And you may disagree but have you ever been a stoner. Or have you just puffed the cheeba once or twice. Its a whole lifestyle one that total contradicts modern day lifestyle. But furthermore this lifestyle could be proven beneficial with the myriad uses of hemp and such. As well as the proven relief chemo patients agree cannabis provides for him. I mean theres so much hidden information in the world about cannabis its really up to you to find out! Bong Voyage and Pipe Dreams

    couple of months ago i would have said YES. i started smoking bud when i was 12, and this was the hydro shit, none of the bush bud. For you stoners out there, if you've ever had hydro, it knocks you around pretty hard, i smoked this for 4 years, started off just on weekends, and soon enough i couldn't go a day without at least 5 cones. i coughed up blood, and peices of lung. i was cronic. in the end this stuff broke up a relationship i was in for a year, because of the abuse and the money spent on it. No matter how much i loved the shit, I loved him more. I gave it up, cold turkey, i lost alot of friends when i started and i lost alot when i finished. Also my brother has been smoking since he was 12, he's now 22, he's developed phycosis and servre paranoia. My father also smokes and has caused him mental health problems as well. In my last year of smoking I was developing symptoms of phycosis and also suffer from servre depressive disorder. You may argue that if it was legilised it wouldn't be used in great quantities like this, but eventally, with the easy supply of it, It would grow into an epedemic like alcohol and ciggarettes, that are widely excepted in society. I don't have anything agaisnt people smoking a couple joints now and then, but don't get hooked, it feels great and will make you forget your troubles till it wears off. But in the end it's not worth it, it's still incredibly damaging no matter what you agrue and ive seen this first hand. and... finally, if it was legalised, it wouldn't be so much fun, which is half the thing.

    Yeah, I kind of knew someone who was a pothead and died because they smoked too much. So it should be illegal, just like it is. Is that going to stop anyone? No. But at least warn yourself before you mess up your lives more than they already are.

  • misconceptions

    people can get some serious misconceptions about drugs yes they can do mild harm, in some cases they can really screw you up for a long time. but my friend's dad was a really heavy drug user in his younger years, serious stuff as well not just weed all sorts, yes it screwed him up then but now he is a succesful and innovative busnissman who employs over 5 people with a company he created. i'm not saying people will always be fine, but just one puff on a joint ain't gonna destroy your life and make you kill yourself. people overestimate the effect.

    This is coming from a person that believes that tobacco, _and_ alcohol should be illegal, so you know where I am going. No, I have never done neither, including marijuana but I have been around it for most of my life.

    First, you have to think about what made this country what it is. It was the drive, the determination to do something and stoners don’t have that. They have the drive to do *nothing*. _Yes_ everything would be peaceful and _yes_ there would probably be less violence if everyone was out getting high but there won’t be much of anything else either.

    The neglect of children would be worse, it is bad enough already but could you imagine what it would be like if all mothers were stoned? It would increase the population in an already overpopulated nation, and since no one would feel like doing anything but tending their marijuana plants we would have even less food to feed the children (especially with the munchies).

    Second, marijuana paves the way for other, stronger, more harmful drugs while cigarettes do not. Marijuana gives people that coveted ‘high’ that they love so much, and when the high isn’t what it used to be an addict will go after heroine, cocaine ect. So while I do not agree with the government with many things, I do agree with the illegality of marijuana.

  • Benefits and Problems

    Well, I don't think that Marijuana is wrong, but it certainly doesnt do much to make our lives easier. Since people are no longer allowed to drive under influence anyway, it is becoming more and more limited.

    The feeling is temporary - no matter how stoned you get, you'll be normal the next morning, if not maybe a little later.

    It is extremely expensive - get high for 5 dollars? every night? I don't think so. and that's just one joint - think of the money problems that those pro-stoners go through just to get the feeling over and over again.

    It is addictive. It takes away many things that you could be doing otherwise, and I agree, it makes things very simple and peaceful, but tell me - don't you want to be rational, instead of 'out-in-space' all the time?

    It deletes brain cells and causes diseases in the lungs. Health problems and mental problems are often the result of smoking too much marijuana. Now, the good:

    It relaxes you. I see no problem with smoking the occasional joint to get your nerves tingling and your brain floating - just do it on a basis that prevents habitual drug abuse.

    It's fun! Now don't get me wrong people, I completely agree that being stoned is very enjoyable! but not a lifestyle for me.

    It has emotional health benefits - meaning, it can be good for you when you are going through a crisis.

    But thats all I can think of - I mean, what else is it good for? It should remain exactly where it is - where people can't just smoke it out in public, but can still get away with it in their own homes. Freedom. let them smoke the weed - if they want to, then let them. It's their personal choice, if they want to screw up their lives it's fine with me.

    Marijuana should be legalized but there should be an age factor involved to just like cigarettes and tobacco. Also it should not be available in convenience stores like ciggs and booze is. If it is then many of the things like hard rugs would start to get easier to come by.

    Pot slows me down enough for me to think things out, just like listening to music would. Alot of people would relate this to the fact that I have HORRIBLE ADHD. The mental health problem thing is only in a few people... I know people that have been smoking bud since 12 and now are 52 or so, that are perfectly fine. If the whole world smoked weed, I'd feel safer as well.

    I think they should legalize it, but the bastard gov't never will, because they cannot tax it. And that I believe is the sole reason.

    I'm not sure I've written this in good english.

    I think that it's not a question of being wrong or not, I believe that every individual should take his life on his hands, and make the best choices for his own life.

    To me, it's a matter of choices. I think that smoking marijuana might be a good thing to have fun, but when someone uses it continuously, I guess that person is using it as a band aid for the problems of his life...probably not knowing it...

    It would be too meticulous to leave comments everywhere on this post so I'll address it here and now. No. Marijuana is not wrong. If it was so horribly wrong do you mind explaining it to me why it's not illegal everywhere? Personally, I doubt we'd ever get to the point of having a country full of potheads, but at the same time, if we did.. Rather than being a country of lazy hippies with no aspirations or motivations in life, we would probably be one of the most advanced places in the world. Society pins down weed as a horrible plant that ruins your life and turns you into a slug. It only ruins your life when your bill money paid for your sack. And go ask a stoner how many brilliant ideas they've come up with while high It's not sloth.. it's being absorbed in deep thought.

    here is some vital information for your everyday life smoking weed is not as healthy as smoking a cigarette, but a cigarette has a filter if a joint had a filter it would do less damage than a cigarette, still does damage, but it'd do less i can't remember the word for a chemical that causes cancer, but there are less cancer causing chemicals in weed than there is in tobacco so if weed was legalized they'd put filters on it, and every single pothead would actually live longer because it would be safer! isn't that a good idea?

    pot blurs your vision of the future. I smoke pot everyday, atleast 3 times a day, and its not good, its something that I said wouldn't become a problem but it has. My opionion on it being lealized is iffy, it would be nice, but I don't think it will ever happen. But all this talk about pot makes me want to go and roll a nice "J" so peace out

    Hell, i smoke it too. I also smoke cigarettes and drink booe and they should also be banned. Why? Coz they fuck the world up. Yeah it’s nice to be stoned, but wud you be wound up if the garbageman didn’t come and left your crap on ur drive coz “he got high and got the munchies and cudn’t be fucked to move”

    Think a lil bit more about it.. and the fact that everyone would be killnig eachother coz they’re so terrified as they have hallucinations and severe mental problems due to some idiots overusing the drug..
