Abortion: Murder or Choice?

Is abortion murder? Should a woman have the right to choose even though it might be morally wrong?

I have two points to make:

A: If you don't abortion THEN DON'T HAVE ONE! B: If you can't trust me with a choice then how can you trust me with a child?

That is all I have to say

Here's what I don't understand. The whole "issue" right now is 'when does a fetus become a living human?" Well, it's recognized that if you drink at ANY point during your pregnancy your child will be affected. That sounds like "alive" to me. Therefore, if your child is alive from the point of conception, then abortion is ending a life. Hence, murder. Here's another sticky issue. "Is the embryo "conceived" when the sperm does its thing or when it attaches to the uterus wall?" Whatever they decide on that one, it's the SPIRIT of the issue, not the letter of the law. Barring accident, that embryo will become a living child. So don't go on about how it's not technically murder. "Technically" my.....foot.

A)Hey woman, kill your kid, spare him from miseries of this life, you become a killer. But I wouldn't mind it if you were my beloved mother. Let the baby live, you become his portal to hell.

It's not an issue of, "Is abortion murder?" It's an issue of this woman, who has total rights over her own body and no other. If the woman does not have rights over her own body, how can another have rights to decide about her body? Screwed up justice system!

  • choice

Alright, let me put it to you in the way that i see it: we already have so many unwanted children out there, that's one reason why we have child abuse and neglect. I would much rather have someone have an abortion than have their child and drown them in a toilet or put them in a dumpster. If you don't agree with abortion, don't have one. Why should fat rich white guys determine what women can or cannot do with their bodies? To make abortion completely illegal would be to make a regression in history.

  • Pro-Choice is a joke

I am Pro-Choice. Trust me, oh trust me, I am. Every human being has free will. Complete and total free will. The words "Have to" are the greatest lie in humanity. You don't HAVE TO do ANYTHING! You can say that you HAVE TO eat, but that's not true. You could choose not to. Your alternative choice is death, but hey, it's still a choice that you make every day. So yes, I'm pro-choice. But as it is used to support abortion, it's a twist on words used to gain support.

I mean, come on. Who can be anti choice??? It makes anyone who isn't "Pro-choice" seem like some communist, or some dictator to be. But the truth is, the issue of abortion isn't about being for or against choices. It's about being for or against abortion. This twist on words is known as a redirect. A clever manner to draw attention away from the actual arguement.

SO! Let's look at the facts shall we? We have, in the USA, many many rights. Rights over our own bodies are at the very base of many of these rights. Abortion WOULD fall under these rights. However. Your rights end when your exercize therof, inhibits, or denies someone else THEIR rights. A woman may have control, and rights over her own body, and that is where the choice comes in. Does she, or does she not chose to have sex? If yes, then there are consequences for those actions, as there allways are concequences for all our choices. Her right to exercise her rights over her own body end when she starts to inhibit, or deny the child from his or her right to exercize rights over THEIR own body.

Now. In the case of rape. The criminal, the rapist, has the choice of what to do with his body. He choses to rape a woman, denying her the right to chose for HER own body. Hence, the man is a criminal. He goes to jail for a long time. The woman, in getting an abortion, makes the same crime, in a different way, in escence, making her very very simmilar to the rapist who she most likely hates.

As for the child not being truely "alive", well, it has a human set of genes, it IS a set of living cells that are multiplying and growing. Maybe we should start killing off todlers. They're still growing, so they aren't fully developed yet. Hell, in that case, we could still kill children all the way up to puberty. It's an ignorant argument made as a desperate attempt to justify the action of murder.

It truely IS a simple issue of rights. And the truth is, the abortionists twist the argument to make it about something other than what it is. An issue of conflicting rights to choice. I have the right to make choices in my life. What if I chose to shoot you in the face with a shotgun? Is that ok? No. The facts in the rights vs rights conflict are easily seen when not distracted by the other side issues abortionists try to throw up to distract us. Why would they do that, you ask? Well. Abortion is a multi million dollar industry. That's why. I'd be willing to debate any abortionist on purely political grounds as to the unlawfullnes of abortion, because they don't have a good argument. Only tricky words, twisted views, and a lot of misplaced sympathy.

  • Either way

Abortion can be both a murder and choice. I am pro-choice. I think it's wrong to kill something that hasn't even had a chance to live, but I also believe that there are certain exceptions. For example, rape. If a girl was raped and becomes pregnant, she cannot be forced to keep the child. Once again- it's up to her. Any women should be able to decide what she does with her own body. It just sickens me when people have casual, unprotected sex, and then decide to get an abortion because they couldn't deal with the responsibility. If you're going to have sex, you should know the risks.

  • legal but regulated

While I personally do not believe I would ever be able to have an abortion, I do think that it is every woman's choice to decide what to do with her own body. I would decide not to do it, some women might decide differently. Why should anyone be able to impose their own beliefs upon someone else in this 'free nation'? However, I do believe that abortion should be regulated. I think that partial-birth abortion is cruel. Some babies are aborted at the same age where other babies are born pre-maturely, and in my mind, the infant in the third trimester is a human and should not be killed. Also, I do not agree that a woman should be able to be careless and irresponsible just because she has abortion to fall back on. I knew a woman, 23 years old, who had 13 abortions. Because of people like this, I do believe that there should be limits placed on the amount of abortions a woman can receive; with exceptions only in extreme cases where there could be dangers to the mothers health otherwise.

  • both

1.i believe it's both murder and choice. 2.but that doesn't mean it's wrong. a.the death penalty is widely accepted, and it *generally* tends to be the same groups of people who support the death penalty yet condemn abortion. b.o...and i like how it's the mother who is a killer but no one ever asks if the father knew about it. c.death, even by the means of another being, is an integral part of nature d. not all woman are in the position to choose. at 16 i had to abort because my mother would have beat the child out of me anyway, then proceed to kill me. call me a murderer, i made the best possible decision.

  • Abortion is murder

Abortion is murder, under both circumstances.

    1. If a "mother" decides to go through with a descision that will lead to pregnancy, then the child is the mother's responsibility. After all (this is another subject), sex is a personal choice and it is meant for childbirth, and although people may think it feels good, it's wrong outside of marriage.

    2. Under the condition of rape, the child still has no choice in its own death. They have no public opinion or voice in the world around them. They may be denied life, although they have the potential of being the next Sir Isaac Newton. Therefore, it is still murder. Although the child is brought into the world by means of a hanus criminal act, it still should not be denied life.

  • You Have One Arguement

ProChoicers only have one valid arguement, RAPE. Do you not know that rape is a form of domination? that most rape cases involves abuse and the man cuming all over the girl, with a very rare pregnancy. I know what ur going to say, "what is he cums inside?" yep toss another What If arguement in here, it proves nothing. But yea the woman still has a chance of being pregnant, so if he cums inside her, studies actually show that with all the stress and emotion the female has a really low chance of being pregnant...And agian with your "what if it happens?" It's rare, and there adoption for those who unfortunatly walked alone home, or left their drink unattended or their doors unlocked in a bad neighbourhood. And anotherthing, u guys and ur "total freewill" well if we had total free will there would be no government no police, cuz everyday murders would be fine(u just dont think)..And you prolifers have got to be less religious, its annoying and such a turn off. i would have protested in ottawa but i couldnt take the praying and bible songs, i hope you know God will not come down and change the law..so why not make ur "movement" agianst abortion more normal and common, so we can all join you!!!
