Should there be Gay marriages?

Are gay marriages appropriate? Should they ban it? What should they do?

  • I believe in freedom...
Gay marriages shouldn't be stopped just because of religion. I am a Christian (baptised at age 8) and I'm straighter than a wooden ruler (if you consider that straight). God isn't going to damn you to Hell for loving your own gender. If so, he'd have to damn us for eating pork, drinking coffee or tea, piercings and tattoos, etc.

  • A Marriage Is Between A Pan and an Oven
It's funny to see some people parroting the lines the USA political-media-propaganda-machine have been spoon feeding us, like: "A marriage is between a man and a woman".

    Funny and also sad.

Gays are a (good looking) minority (3-10%) and stupid people aren't.

  • Misleading Question
the banning gay union, not gay marriage, is wrong (in america anyways). The Catholic church may set any stipulations that they want, within their religion, regarding marriage. Anyone complaining about the lack of "gay marriage" is ill informed.

  • Sure, why not?

    Why not?

If they wanna be married, let them marry. It's not really hurting anyone, is it?

  • Matrimony means "motherhood"
Marriage is a religious ceremony. When you have a "marriage" license from the state, all it means is that you get to file joint tax returns and you can be legally responsible for any debt incurred by your husband/wife. When you are married in a Christian ceremony, it is supposed to be for the purpose of procreation as told in the Bible(to poplulate the earth and paradise). People can do whatever pleases them in their private lives, but all this controversy over marriage is unnecessary. Are you marrying for God or for the state?

  • GAY RELATIONSHIPS SUFFERS BOTH MORAL AND SPIRITUAL DEFICITS

Marriage, which is defined as union of man and woman is a stamp of approval from moral and spiritual standpoints. It meets the standard, whether it’s moral or spiritual. So, marriage stands as a legitimate union of man and woman from either perspective.

Gay relationship is illogical from a reason standpoint. If reason and logic evaluates the relationship, it evaluates to illogical and abuse. A good moral is the one that is logical and reasonable. Since, gay relationship is illogical from a reason standpoint, it stand to reason that it can not be a good moral. So, gay relationship has moral deficit.

It also violets the biblical principles, thus, it has a spiritual deficit.

So, since a marriage carries legitimacy, granting gays marriage would be legitimizing the deficits the relationship suffers.

So, marriage should be reserved for relationships that are logical from a reason standpoint.
