I did climb This tower steep - Yet I Disobeyed at allpoetry
They bid me not hold / True to these thoughts / Mere fancy, a loss / Of reason and hope / Yet I disobeyed / With steadfast resolve / Reached for golden lid / So here lay ambitions / Escaped with aban - Humanity at allpoetry
There stands the portal / Twixt here and somewhere / 'tween known and unknown / Faced by each in their own / Unique vanguards for life's mysteries. / Yet constants there seem / The feeling of loss / A waywa - The Only Sorrow at allpoetry
And the only sorrow / Is the unwelcome end / To sweaty faces smeared fatigue / That finds the cool splash / Of still pool water / Like cold ignorance of / Those days both hazy and unending - Wanting at allpoetry
